Clayens US LLC in Greeneville, TN is seeking a Quality Auditor Level I to inspect injection molded and machined parts, ensuring conformance to specifications and quality standards.

You will perform gauge tests, read drawings, document results, and collaborate with production to implement corrective actions, supporting ISO and internal quality policies. This is a full-time, on-site role that contributes to product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with gauge testing procedures.
  • Ability to read blueprints, sketches, specifications and technical materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform gauge testing and quality control inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to take accurate dimensional measurements.
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify non-conformances and collaborate with production and engineering teams to recommend and verify corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
  • Identifies and properly dispositions products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Analyzes and interprets drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
  • Notifies Supervisors, Team Lead or Quality Manager of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  • Discusses inspection results with those responsible for products
  • Records inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
  • Observes and monitors production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.
  • Measures dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
  • Performs Incoming/Receiving Inspections and Final Inspections, as assigned.
  • Responsible for entering scrap data by machine for each shift.

About the Role:

The Quality Auditor Level I plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards and specifications. This position involves conducting detailed inspections and tests on injection molded and machined products for defects and deviations from specifications. The auditor will be responsible for auditing materials/components received using GD&T, SPC, and general use of measuring equipment and software. Must be able to collaborate closely with production teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. By maintaining accurate records and reports, the auditor supports compliance with industry regulations and internal quality policies. Ultimately, this role helps safeguard product integrity, customer satisfaction, and the overall reputation of the manufacturing organization.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with quality documentation software and data entry.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements:
