Job summary

JBS Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for the 2nd shift to support our facility's food safety and quality programs. You will audit USDA regulations, monitor SOPs/SSOPs/GMPs, and ensure HACCP compliance in daily operations.

This role requires strong English communication, flexibility for overtime and weekends, and the ability to work in hot and cold environments. You will collaborate with production teams and assist the QA Supervisor with data gathering for investigations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends.
• Must be willing to learn all aspects of food safety.
• Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Audit and document USDA/facility regulations and enforce compliance.
• Perform checks to ensure food safety and quality programs are followed.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and HACCP procedures for regulatory compliance.
• Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request.
• Aid QA Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations.
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards; notify management of violations.
• Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations
• Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request
• Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
• Maintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
