Job summary

BD is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor in the USA TX El Paso area to provide direct management of technical staff and contribute to ensuring product safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Role involves oversight of quality activities, training, and audits, with a 4th shift schedule and potential travel as needed.

The supervisor will assist the Quality Manager, support FDA/ISO audits, and lead quality initiatives across Supplier Quality, Quality Operations and Project Quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of technical experience in pharma/medical device manufacturing.
• Experience managing Supplier Audit programs and deployment of corporate initiatives.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise quality activities and compliance programs within specific areas (Supplier Quality, Quality Operations and Project Quality).
• Implement local business organizational goals around quality.
• Proactively identify and work through obstacles that may hinder associates from delivering goals.
• Ensure organization is staffed, organized and resourced to fulfill obligations and comply with regulations and procedures.
• Supervise/train/mentor quality personnel at the Engineering level.
• Assist Quality Manager to support audits (FDA, ISO, Segment Audits, Customer Audits).
• Participate as team members on blitzes, six sigma projects, etc.
• Implement best quality practices.
• Prioritize quality and compliance minded solutions for area of responsibility.
• Contributes to budget goals by managing department spends.
