Job summary

Summer Fresh Salads Inc. is seeking a QA Supervisor to oversee daily quality assurance and food safety in our BRCGS-certified facility in Canada.

You will lead QA technicians and line auditors, ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across processes. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of QA experience, with 1–2 years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology).
• 3–5 years QA experience in food manufacturing.
• 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
• Experience in a GFSI-certified facility is required.
• Experience with ready-to-eat (RTE), refrigerated, frozen, or high-risk foods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA technicians and inspectors during production and sanitation shifts.
• Verify QA programs and documentation and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor product quality attributes (appearance, weight, pH, temp, labeling, packaging).
• Investigate deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances; manage holds/releases.
