Job summary

The Neil Jones Food Company in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee QA operations and lab functions at the Northwest Packing plant. You will supervise QA staff across shifts and coordinate with production to ensure all finished products meet quality specifications.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3+ years in food manufacturing with leadership experience; HACCP/SQF credentials are preferred and regulatory inspections readiness is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Sciences, Business or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment; direct lab experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
• HACCP, Thermal Processing, PCQI, and SQF certification preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, background check including education verification, and to work extended schedule during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Lead Food Safety & Quality operations across canning and juice production in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Supervise and develop QA staff across shifts, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, HARPC, and SQF requirements, including audit readiness and regulatory inspections.
• Partner with Production to monitor key quality parameters (CCPs, vacuum, brix, pH, etc.) and make real-time decisions.
• Manage product holds, traceability, and non-conformance investigations including root cause and corrective actions.
