Job summary

Actus Nutrition in Wisconsin is seeking a QA Supervisor to lead the plant laboratory and ensure GMP compliance across audits and daily testing. You will oversee QA personnel, develop SOPs, and drive quality improvements to meet specifications for raw materials and finished products.

Responsibilities include managing analytical testing, logging findings, coordinating COA activities, and supporting customer and internal quality investigations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience.

The QA Supervisor has the responsibility for managing the laboratory at the plant facility, ensuring work is completed as expected. The QA Supervisor is responsible for GMP compliance, plant quality audits and promoting a positive quality culture within the facility.

• Assist, recruit, direct, coach, lead and supervise all QA personnel constantly raising the standard of performance.Establish education and development programs for employees including SOP’s, quality specifications,safetyand job expectations.
• Complete daily GMP audits and inspections.Summarize and log findings monthly.
• Create andmaintainSOPs to ensure laboratory compliance.
• Manage analytical testing on raw materials, packaging, inprocess samples and finished products ensuring compliance with all quality specifications.
• Assistwith establishing quality assurance specifications for raw materials and finished products and ensuring that these specifications are met.Coordinate in a timelymannerthe COA, analytical testing of ingredients and finished products.
• Record all testing results ina timelymanner.Conduct and document all calibrations.
• Drive improvements by implementing efficient test methods,integratelab functions with productionschedulesandunderstandthe business to helpidentifyBest Practices to fulfill business needs.
• Notify QAManager when physical or chemical analysis defines products/ingredients that do not meet specifications.
• Assistwith finished product problems,investigationsand customer complaint reviews.Assistas needed with technical service inquires.
• Work with QA to release product according to specifications.
• Assist with GMP and HACCP education of the employees.
• Perform internal quality control audits andassistwith customer audit inspections
• Assistin bringing the Plant into SQF / BRC compliance.Monitor and communicate trends and issues on all finished products.
• Assist Quality Assurance Manager in building and improving quality systems.
• Oversee all environmental sampling.
• Coordinate laboratory supply budget and order supplies as needed to support operations with the QA Manager.

Provides laboratory coverage during emergency situations to ensure continuity of operations and timely completion of critical testing activities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ yearspreviouslaboratory experience
