Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) seeks a Quality Assurance professional to implement and improve QA policies, procedures, and audits across products and processes.

Responsibilities include leading internal and customer audits, evaluating findings, enforcing corrective actions, maintaining the Quality Management System, and delivering QA training as needed. Requires an Associate's Degree with 5–7 years of experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Job Summary

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

Required Qualifications

• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline/Major: Quality or related degree preferred
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.
