Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in the United States seeks a Quality Assurance professional to support policy development, auditing and continuous improvement across products and processes, with emphasis on ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and AS9100 standards.

You will maintain the Quality Management System, lead audits, report findings and assist in corrective actions, training, and cross‑functional projects to ensure product quality and compliance across GD-OTS facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 2–4 years of experience or equivalent combination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures & review cycles.
• Maintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedules.
• Participates in audits and creates audit reports.
• Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed.
• Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed.
• May administer the material review boards & database.
• May also lead or support various projects as assigned.

Job Summary

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines. Solid Rocket Motor experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline/Major: Quality Assurance or other related degree preferred
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Batch Testing. Inspection. Nondestructive Testing. Product QA. Quality Assurance Process. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Quality Management System (QMS).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.

Travel Requirements

Up to 25% travel likely.
