Job summary

BAZOOKA COMPANIES LLC is seeking a QA Specialist in Moosic, PA to ensure compliance with the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and to promote a strong Food Safety/Quality Culture. The role involves coaching, training, and ensuring adherence to GMP, SOPs, and Work Instructions across production teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree or equivalent experience, 1+ year in food manufacturing, and PCQI/SQF qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree, or equivalent work experience - 2 years minimum in a production environment.
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment-1 year minimum.
• Knowledge of HACCP required.
• Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Basic statistical skills preferred.
• Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to successfully partner with team members and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure compliance to the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP).
• Partner with shift supervisors and plant management to promote Food Safety/Quality Culture and enhance Food Safety awareness through daily coaching and scheduled training.
• Ensure compliance to all company policies & procedures pertaining to Food Safety and Quality (GMP, Sanitation & Housekeeping, Equipment & Facility Maintenance).
• Enforce GMP compliance through coaching and other appropriate means for production supervisors, factory employees, contractors and visitors.
• Ensure compliance to SOP and WI including proper documentation (completion, control, and retention).
• Conduct Food Safety and Quality testing as necessary (e.g., swabbing, metal detector challenges).
• Initiate, investigate, communicate, and follow-through on corrective actions for non-compliances with a corrective action tracking system.
• Conduct internal factory inspections (GMP, Food Safety, and Quality system audits).
• Manage QA records including environmental sampling program and pest control program for the factory.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

Quality Assurance Line Specialist

Responsibilities:
