Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Moosic, PA is seeking a QA Specialist to ensure compliance with the Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and to promote a strong food safety and quality culture across the production floor.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience, 2 years in a production environment, and familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and quality testing. PCQI certification and SQF Practitioner preferred, with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience (2+ years in production).
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred (1+ year).
• PCQI certification and SQF Practitioner preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP required.

Responsibilities

• Review and ensure compliance to the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP).
• Partner with shift supervisors and plant management to promote Food Safety/Quality culture and enhance Food Safety awareness through daily coaching and scheduled training.
• Ensure compliance to all company policies & procedures pertaining to Food Safety and Quality including GMP, sanitation, housekeeping, equipment and facility maintenance.
• Enforce GMP compliance through coaching for production supervisors, factory employees, contractors and visitors.
• Maintain documentation and ensure non-conformances are addressed timely via corrective actions and tracking.
• Conduct internal factory inspections and QA records management (environmental sampling, pest control).

Quality Assurance Line Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure compliance to the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP)
• Partner with shift supervisors and plant management to promote Food Safety/Quality Culture and enhance Food Safety awareness through daily coaching and scheduled training
• Ensure compliance to all company policies & procedures pertaining to Food Safety and Quality
• including but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation & Housekeeping, Equipment & Facility Maintenance, etc.
• Enforce GMP compliance through coaching and other appropriate means for:
• Production supervisors, factory employees, contractors and visitors
• Ensure compliance to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) including proper documentation (completion, control, and retention)
• Conduct Food Safety and Quality testing as necessary- for example, but not limited to, swabbing, metal detector challenges
• Initiate, investigate, communicate, and follow-through on corrective actions for non-compliances. Maintain a corrective action tracking system to ensure non-compliances are resolved in a timely manner
• Conduct internal factory inspections-such as GMP, Food Safety, and Quality system audits
• Manage QA records including but not limited to environmental sampling program, pest control program for the factory
• Other responsibilities as needed

Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree, or equivalent work experience - 2 years minimum in a production environment
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment-1 year minimum
• Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification and SQF Practitioner preferred
• Knowledge of HACCP required
• Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Basic statistical skills preferred
• Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to successfully partner with team members and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
