Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; QA/compliance/EHR experience may substitute.
• 1–2 years of full-time QA, compliance, auditing, or data analysis in behavioral health.
• Experience with Exym or similar EHR systems.
• Knowledge of LACDMH SMHS and regulatory requirements.
• Experience generating reports and using spreadsheets/dashboards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• HIPAA knowledge and handling of sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular chart reviews and billing-related compliance reviews.
• Monitor timeliness and completeness of documentation.
• Identify compliance concerns and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate audit logistics and support for external reviews.
• Maintain data entry and reporting systems with HIPAA data.
• Serve as Exym EHR Assistant Administrator.
• Support residential census and concurrent review processes.
• Collaborate with programs to improve workflows and training.
