Job summary

Thorpe Plant Services, Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Technician to support quality assurance and control on industrial projects. The role involves inspecting materials, testing components, and documenting results to ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, and customer specs.

You will work closely with production and engineering teams to identify defects, drive corrective actions, and maintain calibrated equipment while following strict safety practices in an on-site, industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or QA certs preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years in QA/QC or related industrial setting.
• Certifications in quality assurance (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Quality inspections of materials and products to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
• Perform tests (pressure, thermal, functional) and document results; communicate findings with reports.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with teams to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, OSHA, EPA and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with production, engineers, and maintenance to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection tools to ensure accuracy.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE during inspections.
