Job summary

Flippers Pizzeria is seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Technician to ensure food safety and quality across production. You’ll inspect materials, monitor CCPs, record findings, and support calibration of testing equipment in a fast-paced pizza manufacturing setting.

The role requires 2–4 years in food QC, knowledge of HACCP/GMP/SQF, and strong attention to detail. On-site work with potential advancement opportunities and continuous training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience in a food manufacturing or quality control environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF or similar certification.
• PCQI certification is a plus.
• Food Safety certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for compliance with company specifications and regulatory standards.
• Monitor CCPs and ensure FSMA compliance throughout the facility.
• Record, review, and report findings from quality checks and audits.
• Assist in the calibration and maintenance of measuring and testing equipment.
• Investigate non-conformities and work with production to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying trends, reporting defects, and proposing solutions.
• Verify labels, lot codes, packaging, and weights are within acceptable ranges.
• Participate in internal audits and assist with documentation during audits.
• Ensure all QA/QC logs, records, and forms are completed accurately and on time.

The Opportunity:

This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards throughout all stages of production. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of food safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with production and management teams.

Full-time position: schedule includes early morning/evening shifts Monday through Friday based on production needs. Work is performed primarily on the production floor and occasionally in the office.
