Andy J. Egan Co in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Quality Assurance & Control Support Specialist to assist the Quality Control Manager and fabrication team in maintaining traceability and QA/QC standards.

You will manage documentation, record heat numbers, and assemble QA packages for submittals. Join a growing team of project managers, tradespeople, service techs and engineers focused on safety, integrity and value.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical, process piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Understanding of welding processes and fabrication quality requirements preferred.
• Excel proficiency including data entry, validation, and basic reporting.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new quality systems, databases, and digital workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 for QA/QC documentation and tracking.
• Strong written and verbal communication for coordination with quality, fabrication, and project teams.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the QCM, including document tracking and material traceability.
• Record and verify heat numbers to ensure complete material traceability.
• Maintain organized Quality Control documentation and inspection records.
• Prepare and compile Quality Assurance packages for customer and project submittals.
• Support shop-floor quality standards in coordination with the QCM.
• Assist with continuous improvement of Quality Control processes and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Provide daily support to the QCM to ensure efficient QA/QC execution.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Control Support Specialist to work with the Quality Control Manager (QCM) and our fabrication department. Duties:

• Provide administrative support to the QCM, including document tracking, logging, and material traceability

• Support shop-floor quality standards in coordination with the QCM

Skills & Experience:

• Working knowledge of mechanical, process piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Understanding of welding processes and fabrication quality requirements preferred

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, Full-Time
