Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, Inc. is seeking a QA/QC support professional to strengthen our quality program across mechanical, structural and piping disciplines.

The role emphasizes meticulous record keeping, data management, and non-routine task handling in field construction environments. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of field experience, read complex drawings, and uphold strict confidentiality while working independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field experience with ability to read and interpret mechanical, structural & isometric drawings.
• Plan and perform work activities independently.
• Prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities in written and verbal form.
• Experience with quality management systems involving ASME, AWS and AWWA codes.
• Data management experience and ability to compile QA/QC records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality record development (hydro forms/civil forms etc.) for review and retention.
• Maintain information storage systems for easy retrieval of QA/QC documents and data.
• Support regular compilation and reporting of QA/QC data for management review.
• Maintain records showing traceability of changes to construction documents.
• Input data into software and compile data books for final turnover to clients.
• Work independently while upholding integrity and quality.

We’re looking for someone to support our QA/QC team. The ideal candidate will perform critical tasks. We will rely heavily on this person to maintain strict confidentiality and possess strong attention to detail skills and have desire to do non routine tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver quality record development (hydro forms/civil forms etc.) for review and retention
• Maintain effective information storage systems to enable easy retrieval of QA/QC documents and data
• Support regular compilation and reporting of quality related QA/QC data for management reporting and review
• Maintenance of all records demonstrating full traceability of changes to construction documents
• Inputting data into software programs, and compiling data books for final turnover to clients
• Must be able to work independently while demonstrating strong qualities and integrity

What you’ll need (minimum qualifications):

• Minimum 3 years and above field experience with ability to read and interpret mechanical, structural & isometric drawings.
• Plan and perform work activities independently
• Ability to prioritize, plan, perform and communicate activities in both written and verbal form.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with quality management systems involving ASME, AWS and AWWA mechanical codes.
• Computer literacy applied to data management, collection, and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in Quality Control activities on assigned projects at construction sites performing Welding, HVAC, Plumbing services.
• Knowledge pertaining to welding (pipe, structural), pressure testing (pneumatic, hydrostatic), coating (paint, plating) and torquing (bolts, flanges, valves)
• Process paperwork regarding material testing/inspection and QA/QC for NDE, Insulation, Ducting services.
• Working onsite at field locations

Good to have:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
• Aptitude to learn new systems
• Ability to train staff on necessary operations
• Certification or extensive experience as a CWI, API, AI or NDE inspector.
