Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree equivalent education as defined in 42CFR493.1405(b)(5)(i)(B).
• Two years of laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes compliance with CAP/CLIA, Joint Commission, and NYS Testing requirements.
• Assists with inspections and inspection readiness throughout the year.
• Leads group training for education of lab staff in quality control and quality assurance responsibilities.
• Coordinates the IGM Quality Monitoring program and prepares reports.
• Investigates incidents and deficiency reports; resolves deviations from procedures.
• Maintains training and competency documentation for staff and equipment.
• Facilitates SOP creation, updates, activation, and distribution.
• Collaborates with supervisor to coordinate process improvements and new workflows.
• Performs troubleshooting and problem solving; provides technical guidance.
