Job summary

bkimechanical in Haskell, Texas is seeking an individual to support their QA/QC team. This position involves maintaining quality records, ensuring effective data systems, and compiling QA/QC documentation for management. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of field experience with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

The work schedule is 10 hours per day, 6 days a week, from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Job description

Based in Conyers, Georgia, Batchelor & Kimball partners with clients to deliver excellent results across engineering, construction, operations and maintenance.

We’re looking for someone to support our QA/QC team in Haskell, TX. The schedule will be working 10 hours/day, 6 days/week from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday - Saturday.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver quality record development (hydro forms/civil forms, etc.) for review and retention.
  • Maintain effective information storage systems to enable easy retrieval of QA/QC documents and data.
  • Support regular compilation and reporting of quality‑related QA/QC data for management review.
  • Maintain records demonstrating full traceability of changes to construction documents.
  • Input data into software programs and compile data books for final turnover to clients.
  • Work independently while demonstrating strong integrity and quality focus.
What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Strong computer application skills.
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience reading and interpreting mechanical, structural, and isometric drawings.
  • Ability to plan and perform work activities independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, perform, and communicate activities in both written and verbal form.
  • Strong attention to detail while managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience with quality management systems involving ASME, AWS, and AWWA mechanical codes.
  • Computer literacy in data management, collection, and reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in Quality Control activities on construction sites performing Welding, HVAC, Plumbing services.
  • Knowledge of welding (pipe, structural), pressure testing (pneumatic, hydrostatic), coating (paint, plating), and torquing (bolts, flanges, valves).
  • Process paperwork regarding material testing/inspection and QA/QC for NDE, insulation, ducting services.
  • Ability to work onsite at field locations.
Good to Have
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
  • Aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Ability to train staff on necessary operations.
  • Certification or extensive experience as a CWI, API, AI, or NDE inspector.
