Job summary

RMR Mechanical is seeking a Quality Site Manager to lead QA/QC activities on industrial construction projects. You will act as the primary quality representative, coordinating with project management, field supervision, customers, inspectors, and other stakeholders to ensure work meets drawings, specs, and codes.

The role requires hands-on inspection oversight, extensive travel to project sites, and a strong background in welding, NDE coordination, and document control.

Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• 5+ years of industrial construction, welding, fabrication, QA/QC, or related experience.
• Experience performing welding inspection and quality oversight in an industrial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, piping drawings, isometrics, specifications, weld symbols, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project-specific QA/QC program at assigned job site.
• Ensure construction and fabrication activities comply with approved drawings, procedures, codes, and standards.
• Perform and oversee visual welding inspections and verify compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs).
• Review welder qualifications, weld maps, material documentation, inspection records, and other required quality.
• Coordinate welding inspections and qualification activities with customers, inspectors, and leadership.
• Maintain organized project quality records, turnover packages, and inspection documentation.
• Participate in pre-job planning, quality meetings, customer meetings, and closeout activities.
• Communicate quality expectations and provide guidance on workmanship and code compliance.
