Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to own the QMS end-to-end for quality, welding, and fabrication. You will lead a QC team, conduct inspections at fabricator shops locally and nationwide, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AWS D1.1, ASME, and related standards.

The role combines hands-on inspection with strategic oversight of quality metrics and supplier performance. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in QA/QC within steel fabrication or welding, CWI certification, and

Qualifications

Must have hands-on QA/QC leadership experience in steel fabrication/welding/manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of welding codes and fabrication practices.
CWI certification required; ASNT NDT Level II preferred.

Responsibilities

Own and improve the QMS, including ISO 9001 compliance, audits, procedures, and inspection criteria.
Lead, hire, train, and develop QC Inspectors while coordinating third-party inspectors.
Perform hands-on shop inspections, identify non-conformances, and drive corrective actions.
Oversee vendor/fabricator quality, ITPs, quality metrics, and supplier performance.
Review drawings, weld symbols, and technical docs for code compliance.
Manage inspection reports, NCRs, data books, turnover packages, and customer interactions.
