Epicured, Inc. is seeking a QA/QC Manager to ensure every order from our Staten Island facility meets quality, food safety, and shipping standards.

You will act as the final quality gate before orders depart, collaborating with Production, Fulfillment, Inventory, Procurement and Shipping to minimize packing errors and protect patient access to our meals. This role requires leading a team of hourly staff, conducting audits, tracking KPIs, performing root-cause analyses and implementing CAPA

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Quality Assurance, Food Manufacturing, Fulfillment or Distribution.
• Experience managing a team of hourly employees.
• Track record of building consensus among team members.
• Food safety knowledge, GMPs, HACCP understanding.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Fulfillment Quality Control: Serve as the final quality authority for all outbound customer orders.
• KPI Management: Track and report Key Performance Indicators and present quality metrics during weekly operations meetings.
• Shipping Accuracy: Monitor fulfillment lines ensuring all labels and boxes for orders are accurate; ensure FIFO procedures are followed.
• Quality Audits: Perform routine audits and maintain documentation for assembly lines, packing, shipping, ice packing and inventory.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate customer complaints, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA): Develop corrective actions to reduce recurring issues (packing, SOP revisions, retraining).
• Employee Training: Train fulfillment staff on food safety, packing SOPs, quality standards, handling, ice packing, shipping and product identification.
• Documentation: Maintain records including QA inspections, box audit logs, shipping verification logs and non-conformance reports.
