Job summary

System One is seeking a QA/QC Manager in Pittsburgh, PA to lead the ASME/Industrial QA/QC program and ensure compliance with ASME and AWS codes across the site.

You will monitor weld procedures, inspect welded components, maintain quality records, conduct FATs, and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and vendors to resolve quality issues while preparing documentation packages for release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or technical degree from a four-year college is required.
• CWI certification encouraged.
• Minimum 3+ years in quality systems, audits, and procedures; 5+ years in fabrication/manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of ASME and AWS codes is required.
• Proficient in ASME inspection processes and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of the ASME/Industrial QA/QC program at the Pittsburgh location.
• Monitor weld procedures and ASME code requirements for compliance.
• Inspect welded sub-assemblies and assemblies for ASME hold points.
• Maintain ASME weld procedures and train QC staff in measurements and documentation.
• Maintain quality records, perform FATs, and review ASME stamp certifications.
• Collaborate with drafting/design to review fabrication drawings before release.
• Prepare and maintain ASME QC records and respond to corrective actions.
• Work with manufacturing, engineering, vendors to review quality issues.
