Job summary

Bolthouse Fresh Foods in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a QC Lab Technician - Quality Control Fresh, Shift 2. The role involves quality analysis and control for carrot products, auditing production procedures, sample collection, data entry, COAs, and maintaining GMPs.

You will work 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM), report to the Supervisor, and participate in swabbing, shelf-life evaluation, equipment calibration, and special projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish desired but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily audits of production procedures; verify code dates, scales, GMPs, and documentation.
• Sample collection, operate scales, data entry.
• Grade defects of carrots.
• Analytical testing of raw and finished products, water, and equipment.
• Examine shelf life samples; assist with shelf life data evaluation.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment.
• Collect and ship sales sample requests.
• Complete COAs per customer requests.
• Compare test results to specifications; notify managers if out of spec.
• Maintain neat work area and assist with tasks.
• Perform swabbing (ATP, allergen, microbiological).
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
