Job summary

TMD Staffing is seeking a QA/QC Lab Technician for the northwest side of Houston (77055). This role focuses on testing raw materials and finished goods in a chemical lab, inspecting production lines, and maintaining QC records.

The position supports the QA/QC Manager and R&D on projects while upholding lab safety and cleanliness. Reliability and a fast learning ability are essential, as are good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have quality control experience.
• Must have chemical/lab testing experience.
• Must have hands on manufacturing industry experience working in a lab.
• Reliability is very important.
• Must be a quick learner with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry and math.
• Good mechanical capability.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Some heavy lifting is required.

Responsibilities

• Testing of incoming raw materials per standard operating procedures.
• Testing of finished product per standard operating procedures.
• Inspection of incoming finished goods produced by third parties per standard operating procedures.
• Inspection of the production lines.
• Maintaining QC records and product retention samples.
• Assist QA/QC Manager in product complaint investigations.
• Assist QA/QC Manager on special projects as assigned.
• Assist the Research & Development group on projects as assigned.
• General cleaning and maintenance of the immediate lab area to ensure the safety of laboratory personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
