Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to test and inspect welds, raw materials, and fabricated structures in a heavy industrial setting. You will review blueprints, provide guidance to welders, and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality control procedures.

Requires 3+ years as a welding inspector, CWI preferred, and ability to work at heights in outdoor environments. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential for effective collaboration with field teams and project

Qualifications

• Must have a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certificate or Quality Control experience.
• Experience with multiple welding processes and materials.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to work in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to work at heights and in outdoor industrial environments.
• TWIC credential required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications.
• Inspect, approve, or reject welds according to specifications.
• Inspect raw materials and processes.
• Provide information to welders and supervisors.
• Test welders for qualifications.
• Coordinate with QC personnel, project mgmt, and clients.
• Maintain inspection and QC records.
• Ensure implementation of the job site QC program.
• Train and evaluate QC personnel.
• Provide status reports on program and personnel performance.
