Job summary

ColonialWebb is seeking detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to support large commercial mechanical building projects in Central Virginia. You will provide technical and field QA/QC support to project managers and field management, ensuring compliance with design standards and contract documents.

Ideal candidates have relevant QA/QC experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of BIM and submittals is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current or previous project engineering or field QA/QC experience on commercial mechanical contracting projects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting construction activities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and field reporting.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and clients.
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site QA/QC inspections and ensure compliance with design standards and contract documents.
• Inspect equipment and materials, coordinate with vendors on submittals.
• Review installation requirements and ensure proper installation on site.
• Maintain QA/QC inspection logs per program manual.
• Support closeout with punch lists and documentation.
• Assist project team in tracking non-conforming issues and provide corrective actions.
• Maintain BIM model knowledge and verify clearances where required.
