Job summary

Insight Global is seeking 5 QA/QC Field Engineers for on-site work in a mission-critical data center/semiconductor program. You will join the on-site Quality Department, performing field inspections and reviewing documents during preconstruction and construction, coordinating with design professionals, clients and contractors to resolve issues.

The role is 75% in the field at the Childress, TX site, with $35–50/hour pay, $1,120 weekly per diem and workforce housing with premium amenities;

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a QAQC Field Engineer for construction projects.
• Experience in Electrical, Low Voltage, Mechanical/Process, CSA/Steel, or Building Envelope/Facade.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with superintendents and trade workers.
• Comfortable with 75% field work on site.

Job Description

A large Insight Global customer in the Construction industry for cutting edge data center and semiconductor projects, is seeking 5 QA/QC Field Engineers with experience in Electrical, Low Voltage, Mechanical/Process, CSA/Steel, and Building Envelope/Facade disciplines. This individual will be an integral member of the on-site Quality Department, providing essential support throughout the lifecycle of the construction project. Reporting to the High-Tech Program Quality Manager, the role will work closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day site activities, quality control efforts on site, including document review during preconstruction and construction. The QA/QC Engineer plays a critical role, including inspecting the project generally, including specific scopes, during the offsite fabrication, construction, commissioning, and punch list phases of the project – working to bring all issues to closure. This position will collaborate with design professionals, clients, trade contractors and craftspeople to address complex coordination issues; you are on the front line in identifying, preventing, and solving technical problems across multiple scopes in a complex mission-critical environment.

The right individual will have a project engineer mentality with exposure/background in one of the listed disciplines. This role will be 75% in the field walking the site, so need to be comfortable doing so, and will be fully at the project site in Childress, Texas. The position can offer $35-50/hour depending on experience and will include $1,120 weekly per diem as well as workforce housing provided with premium amenities (24/7 food provided, individual guest suites with en-suite bathrooms, health and fitness amenities, recreation lounges, and RV hookups are available). Must be comfortable working 50 hour weeks as needed (will be paid overtime).
