Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join our Newark AirTrain project site at Newark International Airport. You will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and execution of the quality management plan for civil construction projects.

As part of the team, you will perform routine inspections, document non-conformities, and coordinate corrective actions with the Quality Control Manager to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Three or more years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control on construction sites.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and testing field samples.
• Experience monitoring concrete pours.
• Experience producing reports documenting test results and activities.
• Experience inspecting concrete steel reinforcement and form work.
• CWI certification preferred.
• CQE/CQA is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the project-specific Quality Management Plan.
• Perform inspections and audits of construction activities, materials, and processes.
• Document and report non-conformities; coordinate corrective actions with the QC Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and compliance reports.
• Support preparation of quality assurance reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure quality standards.
