Job summary

Wayne Farms in North Carolina is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician responsible for verification of production processes, packaging, and food safety, with focus on proper documentation and inventory control.

You will support Production Team Members and Supervisors, monitor lines and paperwork for specification compliance, verify GMPs and labels, and ensure incoming materials meet standards while upholding NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1 year in quality assurance or 6 months at Wayne Farms
• Strong math and computer skills
• Detail oriented with good documentation

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Production & QA team members to ensure proper product handling and address deficiencies
• Monitor lines and paperwork to ensure product specifications
• Verify and enforce GMPs
• Verify labels, lot codes, bags, boxes, and pallets are correct
• Receive incoming raw materials and inform QA if not meeting specs
• Assist Production with quality issues to reach solutions
• Ensure microbiological swabs are performed on schedule
• Follow all quality and food safety policies
• Work in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
• All other duties as assigned
