Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line and department personnel, ensuring HACCP, SSOP, GMP, USDA, and OSHA compliance while meeting production schedules and quality specs.

You will deploy staff, monitor yields, drive process improvements, coach through performance plans, and collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain a safe, efficient operation across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet production schedules.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports are completed (attendance, yields, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure a safe, sanitary environment per USDA specs.
• Mentor, coach and train staff; administer performance actions fairly.
• Follow safety initiatives and wear PPE as required.
• Work with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to current Union contract if applicable.
