Job summary

Qualified Staffing is hiring a Lab Technician / QA Nightshift Lead in Macomb, MI for a direct-hire, 2nd shift position from 4:30pm to 4:00am. The role pays $29-39/hour and requires CMM programming experience with CMM inspection and quality systems expertise.

The candidate will lead the lab team, ensure FPA and first article quality, maintain housekeeping, and coordinate with engineering to meet customer specifications on new programs.

Qualifications

• CMM programming is required.
• Zeiss Calypso software – preferred.
• Quality Systems and Procedures.
• GD&T, SPC.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• M&M, Comparator and Contractor capabilities.
• Lab Measurement Equipment and Shop Floor gauges.
• Leadership and Good Communication Skills.

Responsibilities

• Write CMM programs for new program launches based on customer specs.
• Verify parts meet customer specs with engineering and setup departments.
• Perform CMM or layout inspection on parts.
• Maintain QA log for all inspections.
• Ensure timely completion of First Article parts.
• Organize the lab and maintain housekeeping.
• File quality documents and label properly.
• Support gage R&R studies and calibrations.
• Set up gauging as required.
• Participate in quality problem solving and corrective actions.
• Communicate quality information between shifts.
• Report shift activities to QA supervisor.
