Job summary

OCLC seeks a Manager of Test Engineering to lead Quality Engineers across products, shaping QA strategy, staffing, automation, and metrics. The role partners with Product and Engineering to improve quality, delivery, and AI‑enabled testing strategies.

This position advances QA modernization through automated testing, performance engineering, and data‑driven quality analytics, ensuring reliable releases and a superior customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS/Library Science.
• Understanding of AI‑assisted testing and modern Quality Engineering practices.
• Experience leading QA teams for complex software products and delivery organizations.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies: manual, UI, API, accessibility, integration, regression, performance.
• Experience with QA planning, metrics, and release readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Quality Engineers across multiple products and initiatives.
• Manage QA planning, staffing, capacity, and execution to support delivery.
• Define and execute comprehensive testing strategies (manual, automated, exploratory, performance).
• Drive QA modernization with automation, AI, and tool adoption to improve quality and delivery confidence.
• Define quality metrics and governance, monitor release readiness, and report risks.
