Job summary

American Express in the United States is seeking a QA Manager to lead testing efforts for our applications. The role focuses on building and improving manual and automated testing libraries, collaborating with developers, testers, and product owners to optimize the test suite.

You will manage relationships with external QA vendors, work with contractors and release managers to validate product quality, and drive QA processes across multiple applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in quality assurance with ability to write test cases, perform functional/ automated/ performance analysis, and manage defects.
• Experience defining and driving QA strategy across multiple applications.
• Strong experience in test development, unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, cross-browser compatibility testing, CI/CD.
• Development experience in Java, JavaScript or Python is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with developers, QA testers and product owners to define our test suite and optimize testing.
• Manage relationships with external QA vendors.
• Collaborate with contractors, lead developers, release managers, and software development managers to test products.
• Maintain QA environment and improve CI/CD pipeline.
• Coordinate and schedule requirements.
• Develop test plans, test properties, and project planning.
• Analyze program reports for quality improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and testing processes.
