Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Quality Manager to own day-to-day casting quality at a client aluminum sand casting facility, mentoring the team and leading root-cause investigations across molding and machining operations. You will drive corrective actions directly at the source and communicate with customers to resolve quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading structured RCA investigations (8D, 5-Why, A3).
• Experience driving corrective actions and containment across casting and machining.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management systems and associated audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause investigations on high-cost defects (sand inclusions, cracks, porosity).
• Drive corrective actions with melt, molding, core, and sand teams for verified closure.
• Mentor quality team to own RCA and CAPA; build proactive improvement culture.
• Own and maintain SPC, green sand properties, LPA processes, and audits.
• Manage defense-readiness activities: MIL specs, FAI, traceability, and supplier quality.
• Oversee metallurgical/lab activities: chemistry, mechanical testing, and calibration.
• Serve as primary quality contact for customers; conduct clear, timely communications.
