Job Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive global QA as a Service model that serves multiple product lines and development teams
- Establish standardized QA frameworks, methodologies, and processes that integrate seamlessly with existing SDLC practices
- Develop and track KPIs to measure QA effectiveness, efficiency, and business impact
- Build and manage a global team of QA professionals, including both FTEs and contractors
- Create a scalable QA resource model that maximizes efficiency while meeting quality objectives
- Serve as the interface between Support and Development teams to ensure customer-reported issues are effectively triaged and addressed
- Leverage data analytics to drive insights into software quality, bug trends, and resource allocation
- Make data-driven recommendations for strategic QA investments and team expansion
- Stay current with emerging QA technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices
- Foster partnerships with product and development leadership to anticipate and address quality needs
Job Essential Functions
- Lead the development of enterprise-wide quality standards, best practices, and guidelines
- Oversee the creation and implementation of test strategies for diverse product lines and technology stacks
- Manage QA budget, resource allocation, and capacity planning across multiple geographies
- Implement and optimize QA tools and automation frameworks for maximum efficiency
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate QA value and impact to business stakeholders
- Create effective knowledge transfer mechanisms between global QA teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA organization
- Develop and implement career advancement paths for QA team members
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new QA technologies and methodologies
- Present quality metrics, trends, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance
- 5+ years of leadership experience with proven success building and scaling distributed QA organizations
- Demonstrated experience establishing QA as a Service models across multiple product lines
- Experience working with diverse technology stacks including Java, C#, .Net, Ruby, AWS, and Azure
- Proven track record in developing global QA strategies and implementing standardized processes
- Experience managing both onshore and offshore QA resources
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making
- Advanced knowledge of various testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in multiple development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps)
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration

This position has a base range of $110K-130K USD. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within the stated range depends on a variety of factors, including, for example, geographic location and level of experience.
