Job summary

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions in Pawling, NY is seeking a capable Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead the incoming inspection of parts and materials and to manage investigations of customer complaints.

The role requires extensive QA experience in manufacturing, at least five years, with supervisory experience, knowledge of ISO 9001, root cause analysis, and strong analytical and communication skills. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial manufacturing quality role.
• Minimum of five (5) years Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing/fabrication business
• Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership position.
• High School or Equivalent degree, Some college preferred, Engineering discipline.
• Experience with ISO 9001 standard practices
• Experience in root cause analysis, corrective action implementation
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Computer literate
• Experienced in the use of basic measurement and inspection tools including, but not limited to calipers, rulers, and comparators.
• Able to read and understand blueprints / drawings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the efforts of the Quality Technicians on the incoming inspection of parts and materials.
• Coordinate internal team efforts to investigate customer complaints and returns; document 8D reports and drive root cause and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement quality control systems to support production and ensure on-time quality.
• Provide metric data for upper management and corporate reporting.
• Initiate and lead collaboration of quality improvement projects and teams.
• Present solutions for continuous project improvement.
