Job summary

Oorwin AI is seeking a QA Lead to own enterprise QA for applications and integrations. The role manages testers, test planning, traceability, automation, defects, reporting, and release readiness in an on-site Columbus setting.

You will lead programs, review requirements, and drive test strategies across teams, ensuring quality from design to deployment while coordinating with DevOps, product, and engineering. This is a long-term contract based in Columbus, OH.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise QA/testing experience.
• 2+ years in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or senior QA role with formal leadership responsibility.
• Hands-on automation experience using Playwright or Selenium; Playwright with TypeScript preferred.
• Strong BRD/requirements analysis, RTM design, traceability, API testing, SQL, data validation.
• Experience supervising testers, reviewing artifacts, leading defect triage, and reporting to management.
• Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA for programs, releases, modules, and production readiness; create test strategies, scope, estimates, schedules, dependencies, entry/exit criteria, and execution plans.
• Assign and review work, mentor testers, enforce QA standards, and coordinate with business, product, development, project, DevOps, database, and other teams.
• Review BRDs, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, interfaces, data mappings, and API specs; identify gaps and untestable items.
• Translate requirements into test scenarios, cases, data, preconditions, and expected results; maintain traceability through execution and closure.
• Manage Azure DevOps Test Plans, suites, cases, configurations, runs, and dashboards for coverage, progress, and release readiness.
• Design and review positive/negative/boundary/equivalence/decision-table/state-transition tests and data-driven tests.
• Coordinate and perform smoke, functional, API, integration, system, regression, UAT, data-pipeline, and performance testing.
• Ensure reproducibility of failures, complete evidence, and reliable results; lead defect triage and release risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA for programs, releases, modules, and production readiness; create test strategies, scope, estimates, schedules, dependencies, entry/exit criteria, and execution plans.
• Assign and review work, mentor testers, enforce QA standards, and coordinate with business, product, development, project, DevOps, database, and other teams.
• Review BRDs, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, interfaces, data mappings, and API specifications; identify gaps, conflicts, ambiguity, and untestable requirements.
• Turn requirements into test scenarios, cases, data, preconditions, expected results, and automation candidates; maintain traceability through execution, defects, retesting, and closure.
• Manage Azure DevOps Test Plans, suites, cases, configurations, runs, evidence, links, queries, and dashboards for coverage, progress, blockers, defects, and release readiness.
• Design and review positive, negative, boundary, equivalence, decision-table, state-transition, role/authorization, data-driven, and risk-based tests.
• Coordinate and perform smoke, functional, API, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, UAT, database, data-pipeline, and performance-support testing.
• Ensure failures can be reproduced, evidence is complete, and results are reliable. Lead defect triage and severity/priority decisions, with build and environment details, steps, expected and actual results, evidence, and requirement/test links.
• Give clear, evidence-based release recommendations and communicate remaining quality risks.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise QA/testing experience, including 2+ years in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or senior QA role with formal leadership responsibility.
• Hands-on Playwright or Selenium automation experience; Playwright with TypeScript is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with BRD and functional-requirement analysis, RTM design, traceability, coverage management, API testing, SQL, database validation, and data-pipeline/ETL validation.
• Experience supervising testers, reviewing test artifacts, leading defect triage, and reporting to management.
• Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing Playwright/TypeScript frameworks, migrating from Selenium, and creating reusable fixtures, Page Objects, API clients, test-data factories, and custom reports.
• Exposure to performance testing and coordination of specialized performance or security testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
