Job summary

Rocky Mountain Steel Mills in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a Quality Assurance Intern to join our Pueblo team for the summer (approx. 4 weeks).

This role supports the quality team as we implement and optimize the new EQMS system essential to certification for API, ISO, AAR, and other standards. You'll work alongside our Quality System Coordinators on documenting and auditing processes, gaining exposure to the rail mill's operations and the newer state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in engineering or technical field.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in an industrial environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with updating and optimizing documents, pages, and attachments for the optimal performance of the new EQMS system at RMSM
• Assist RMSM Quality System Coordinators in updating documentation in preparation for certification audits for API, ISO, AAR, etc.
• Opportunity to learn the processes involved with products produced at RMSM
• Participate in RMSM internal audits
