Abbott in Plano, TX is seeking a QA Specialist I to perform receiving inspection and support QA activities on-site. The role requires inspecting raw materials and maintaining compliance with procedures and quality standards, with emphasis on document control and data recording.

Applicants typically have 1–2 years in quality or inspection roles and may have exposure to medical device manufacturing environments. This position is onsite for a 7-month duration.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a quality or inspection-related role.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with GR&R studies and First Article inspections.
• Knowledge of QMS and EMS systems.
• Certifications in quality inspection or related fields (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections per documented procedures.
• Record inspection and test data as instructed.
• Operate test and measurement equipment according to procedures.
• Document non-conformances in the Non-Conforming Material Review system.
• Participate in GR&R studies as directed.
• Collect data for First Article inspections.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain communication with staff, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Support company initiatives related to QMS, EMS, and other regulatory requirements.
