Job summary

Abbott in Westford, MA is seeking a QC Inspector to perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on purchased materials, components, and finished products. The role supports supplier quality engineering with inspection data and SOPs, and involves heavy use of SAP for incoming material QC requirements.

Responsibilities include testing, data collection, and trend analysis, with potential training of other staff. The position is onsite for a 6-month duration, starting soon.

Qualifications

• Experience performing quality control inspections on materials and products.
• Knowledge of visual, dimensional, and functional inspection methods.
• Experience using test and measurement equipment.
• Proficiency with SAP for incoming material quality requirements.
• Ability to collect, analyze and report inspection data.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of purchased materials, components, and products.
• Record inspection data and test results per procedures.
• Operate all test equipment as documented.
• Support validation, qualification, and inspection procedures.
• Develop changes to inspection procedures as needed.
• Interface with suppliers to support material quality.
• Train staff on equipment use and data collection.
• Contribute to data gathering and trend analysis.
