Job summary

Compass Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform timely inspection, testing and documentation of materials, first articles, finished products and work in process to ensure conformance with quality criteria, work orders, diagrams and customer specifications.

The role includes maintaining/calibrating tools and fixtures, following AS9100 standards and company policies, and documenting results with accurate records and logs. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Quality Control Processes and Procedures.
• Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• General computer data entry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials for defects and verify properties against drawings and specs.
• Verify measurements using calipers, tape, go/no-go gauges and other tools.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings to confirm dimensions meet requirements.
• Perform First Article inspections to SAE AS9102 or customer specs.
• Document inspection results and maintain logs and records.
• Calibrate tools and test fixtures per procedures and schedules.
