Help dispensaries launch confidently and keep customer data flowing reliably. Join Blackleaf to test point-of-sale integrations, guide software implementations, and turn technical issues into clear, practical solutions.
About Blackleaf
Blackleaf provides text marketing and customer management software for cannabis dispensaries. This role helps connect dependable software experiences with smoother day-to-day operations for dispensary teams.
About the Role
As QA & Implementation Specialist — POS, you will bridge software testing and customer onboarding, with a focus on point-of-sale integrations. You will validate connected workflows, coordinate implementation steps, and help customers and internal teams resolve issues before and after launch.
What You Will Do
- Build and execute manual test cases for POS integrations, customer data synchronization, and related marketing workflows.
- Test field mappings, duplicate handling, transaction updates, error scenarios, and recovery behavior across connected systems.
- Document defects with reproducible steps, expected and actual results, and relevant logs or screenshots; verify fixes and run regression tests.
- Gather customer implementation requirements and coordinate configuration, data validation, acceptance testing, and go-live readiness.
- Troubleshoot integration issues using available logs, API responses, and data exports, escalating clearly documented findings to engineering or integration partners.
- Guide dispensary teams through setup and training, explaining technical concepts in straightforward language.
- Maintain implementation checklists, test documentation, troubleshooting guides, and customer handoff notes.
- Handle customer information carefully and validate consent and opt-out data flows against documented product requirements.
- Share recurring customer issues and testing insights with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
What You Bring
- Experience in software QA, SaaS implementation, technical support, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Ability to write clear test cases, reproduce bugs, and distinguish configuration issues from product defects.
- Familiarity with POS systems or integrations that connect customer and transaction data across platforms.
- Working understanding of APIs, JSON, CSV files, and data mapping, with the ability to investigate discrepancies methodically.
- Strong written communication, customer training, and project coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage several implementations or investigations without losing track of next steps.
Helpful Experience
- Experience with dispensary operations, cannabis retail software, or customer marketing platforms.
- Hands-on use of API testing tools, SQL for data validation, or issue-tracking systems.
- Exposure to webhooks, integration monitoring, or automated regression testing.
