Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a QA Group Lead to supervise shift inspectors and manage both production and receiving inspections in a warehouse/production setting. The role emphasizes developing QA instructions, conducting audits, and driving corrective actions to meet customer quality expectations.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, proficiency with GD&T and measurement tools, and a strong background in ISO9001/IATF16949 environments. This is a day shift in a manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; demonstrated leadership skills.
• 2 years supervising experience preferred.
• Experience in ISO9001 / IATF16949 environment required.
• Ability to read basic drawings and GD&T prints.
• Proficient with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, vision systems).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises shift inspectors to ensure timely, quality inspection of products.
• Manages production and receiving inspection processes.
• Develops and reviews quality instructions and testing methods.
• Oversees inspection audits and corrective actions.
• Responds promptly to customer quality issues.
• Maintains employee relations; coaches and develops staff.
• Ensures teams have resources and training to meet goals.
• Keeps shift records and tracks absenteeism.
