ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a QA Group Lead to oversee shift inspectors in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.

You will manage production and receiving inspections, develop quality instructions, and drive corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has leadership experience (2+ years preferred), with ISO9001/IATF16949 exposure, and proficiency with inspection equipment such as calipers, CMMs, and vision systems.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills required.
  • 2 years previous experience supervising is desired in ISO9001 / IATF 16949 environment.
  • Ability to utilize inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, profiler, contour, roughness, vision systems and other measuring devices.
  • Able to read basic drawings & GD&T print callouts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently.

  • Ensures effective employee relations.
  • Provides employee coaching and development.
  • Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Ensure that teams and team members have the necessary resources and training to accomplish department goals.
  • Recognize team accomplishments.
  • Tracks absenteeism and time-keeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have strong leadership ability (2 years previous experience supervising is desired) and excellent problem-solving skills Experience working in a ISO9001 /IATF 16949 environment is required.
  • Ability to utilize inspection equipment such as, calipers, micrometers, CMM, Profiler, Contour, Roughness, Vision Systems and other measuring devices.
  • Able to read basic drawings & GD&T print callouts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare end of shift reports.
  • Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, push, pull, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Since we only hire the best and want to maintain a safe and pleasant work environment for all, final candidates are subject to drug screen and background checks.
