Job summary

Tech Mirrors in Culver City, CA is seeking a QA Engineer on a 6+ month contract to join the Digital Supply Chain Engineering team. You will design and execute tests, build automation with Playwright/Selenium, and perform API testing to ensure high-quality products.

You will work with developers and product on requirements, plan releases, and contribute to test strategy and CI integration, while documenting defects clearly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional QA experience testing web applications.
• Hands-on experience writing automation scripts (Selenium/Playwright/Python/Java).
• Working knowledge of API testing concepts (HTTP methods, status codes, request/response validation, authentication).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and defect tracking tools (Jira or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear, reproducible bug reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for web applications.
• Build and extend automated UI test suites using Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Perform API testing (REST/JSON) using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent libraries.
• Investigate, reproduce, and clearly document defects with steps, expected vs. actual behavior, logs, and screenshots.
• Collaborate with developers and product on requirements review, test planning, and release readiness.
• Participate in regression, smoke, and exploratory testing cycles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test strategy, tooling, and CI integration.
