Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for its R&D team in Sunnyvale, CA to ensure WLAN product reliability and release readiness. You will design test plans, build testbeds, and perform interoperability testing with Fortinet and third-party devices.

Ideal candidates have 3–6+ years of wireless QA, Python automation, and strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols, with experience across Linux/UNIX/Windows and Agile environments. Authorization to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

3–6+ years of wireless QA experience.
Strong QA methodologies and test planning.
Knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be wireless standards.
Experience with Linux/UNIX/Windows OS.
Python automation experience.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans (functional, regression, performance).
Build complex testbeds integrating multiple Fortinet and third-party devices.
Perform interoperability testing (Fortinet + 3rd-party devices/clients).
Analyze customer-reported issues, review logs, replicate defects in lab, validate fixes.
Identify, isolate, document, and track bugs through resolution.
Produce accurate QA reports on time.
Build and maintain test infrastructure for feature validation and defect reproduction.
Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers on debugging.
