Job summary

Ring is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Austin, TX to test Ring's e-commerce websites and mobile apps (iOS/Android). You will translate business requirements into QA test plans, design and execute test cases, and build robust automation to ensure high quality releases.

You’ll work with a team of experienced QA engineers, drive issue resolution, monitor performance, and communicate status to stakeholders as we ship features for customers and communities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
• Experience in automation testing.
• Experience in manual testing.
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects.
• Experience with automated test frameworks like Selenium or Appium.
• Experience gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and convert them into comprehensive, QA-understandable test cases and test plans ensuring adequate test coverage
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases/suites for web and mobile applications (iOS/Android/Fire platforms), and analyze results
• Build and maintain stable, reusable test automation for web applications and mobile apps
• Drive test execution across multiple software releases, capturing and triaging errors effectively
• Troubleshoot issues down to root cause and create detailed bug reports
• Evaluate application performance and functionality; dive deep on features to identify risks and quality gaps
• Prepare precise test completion reports for management to review and approve releases
• Participate in test planning efforts and communicate status to stakeholders
• Work as part of a team of experienced QA engineers testing multiple concurrent software releases
• Building test strategies and test cases for releases/features
