Job summary

impact.com seeks an Associate QA Engineer to understand, test, and approve features across the platform. You will develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure quality experiences used by hundreds of thousands of users.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and PMs, create structured test scenarios, document findings, and participate in bug triage and release readiness reviews. A proactive, independent worker with SQL and automation experience fits well.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance in a software development environment.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Strong collaboration with engineers and PMs to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Dive into quality assurance checks during internal development, ensuring only top-notch code reaches QA environments and production.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and ensure clear acceptance criteria.
• Craft structured test scenarios and scripts reflecting business priorities and obtain stakeholder approvals.
• Create and execute tests, recording findings meticulously.
• Participate in bug triage and release readiness reviews with actionable feedback.
• Uncover and track bugs, working with developers to see them through to resolution.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, cases, schedules, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with each line of business on test planning, execution, and results analysis.
