Job summary

UDR, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our hybrid-track team at the Highlands Ranch, Colorado corporate office.

You will ensure software features meet business requirements, reliability, and end-user expectations through backend data validation, API testing, and test automation. You’ll work with Snowflake, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integrity checks, develop and execute test plans, and contribute to regression coverage using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Technology Management, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four to five years of related experience required.
• Experience in real estate or hospitality industry preferred, or equivalent experience with industry technologies.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments is required.
• Proven ability to guide and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Interface with analysts and stakeholders to understand business problems and requirements.
• Develop procedures and test software features; specify data requirements for scenarios.
• Record test outcomes in Zephyr with supporting evidence.
• Create and manage software bugs with steps, expected vs observed results.
• Prepare findings and recommendations for project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors as needed.
• Design and execute SQL queries to validate backend data in Snowflake.
• Validate data movement across ETL/ELT pipelines and reconcile data sources.
• Test data access controls and query behavior in Snowflake environments.
• Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for backend validation.
• Develop automated test scripts with Playwright to expand regression coverage.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test data, automation, and test design.
• Participate in grooming ceremonies and refine acceptance criteria.
• Design test strategies for new features and implementations.
• Identify blockers and drive remediation with project teams.
• Identify key testing scenarios and automation candidates for regression testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
