Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer I to plan, direct and support activities to assess and provide root cause analyses and corrective action implementation for CPSD quality problems.

The role will maintain and improve the QA/QC program and implement preventive actions to reduce quality problems. You will interact with Engineering, Sales, Operations and Service, travel to customer and supplier locations, and assist in ISO-9001 efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Management or related technical area.
• 0 to 2 years’ experience in quality control in manufacturing or equivalent education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of quality control, engineering, production, lean manufacturing, ISO 9001 and statistical methods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the QA/QC program as defined in the Quality Policy Manual.
• Investigate quality problems by reviewing trends; track root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate supplier quality activities and evaluate QA prior to supplier approval.
• Lead internal audits and assist with ISO-9001 efforts.
• Travel to customer or supplier locations as needed to analyze and remedy quality problems.
