Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated seeks an experienced QA Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test plans ensuring functional, technical, and regulatory compliance across our HHR products. The role balances own projects with daily QA team deliverables, driving high-quality software through rigorous testing.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, multitasking, and test-design skills, plus experience with API testing, Agile, and tools like JIRA, Postman, and Cypress.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing experience preferred.
• Experience with API testing is a plus.
• Gaming and pari-mutuel experience a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies desired.
• Experience with MongoDB preferred.
• Windows server experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of test methodologies.
• Experience deriving test plans and cases from system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute regression, functional, and end-to-end test cases as assigned by QA Manager or Director.
• Perform regression testing when defects are fixed.
• Reproduce issues reported from field and 3rd party partners.
• Create high-quality test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Submit and track issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Develop knowledge of product to thoroughly test functionalities.
• Ensure test environments are established for each project.
• Execute various testing methodologies including API testing and integration testing.
• Interface with Engineering to resolve issues before release.
• Maintain relationships with other departments and vendors.
